Keepers of Eden chronicles the struggles of the Huarani tribe, the indigenous people of Ecuador. They have lived in the cradle of the Amazon Rainforest for thousands of years, but now that cradle is being rocked by the oil industry.

As oil companies plough deeper into the rainforest and the Huarani's territorial lands, a wave of destruction threatens to erase their very existence. Historical Media® documents the oil companies' questionable practices and the results of contamination. The film traces the pollution, toxic poisoning, and environmental devastation wrought by profit-driven industries. The film is a socio-political expos√© which sheds light on the Ecuadorian government's failure to protect its indigenous people and effectively regulate the practice of oil companies.

Narrated by Joanne Woodward, the documentary is a sensitive window into the plight of a people fighting to preserve their culture.
